Flash animation can provide your website with finesse practicality and functionality. It can also damage your website from a search engine point of view if its not used correctly.
The correct way to use Flash is add sparkle and flare to your website. This could be with animated image banners, spectacular galleries, general eye candy, games, video and from a programming point of view ecommerce, forms etc.
The wrong way to use Flash would be to create splash pages or entry pages where there is no html or text for the search engines to pick up on. There is currently a heated debate as to whether creating a full website using flash is restricting and making it more difficult for the search engines to read.
Through our own personal experience we think a combination of flash and html is best way to develop a website.
